processes, and protects your information when you use the Air Quality Monitor mobile

application ("App"). We are committed to safeguarding your privacy and upholding data

minimization principles: we only process data strictly necessary to provide reliable,

accurate air quality and particulate haze monitoring for you and your family.


2. ZERO ACCOUNT REGISTRATION REQUIRED

Air Quality Monitor is designed to be 100% functional without requiring any account

creation, profile registration, or social media login. We do not request, collect,

or store your full name, email address, passwords, phone numbers, or any sensitive

Personally Identifiable Information (PII) on our developer servers.


3. INFORMATION PROCESSED AND PURPOSE


A. Approximate Location (Coarse Location)

- Requested Permission: android.permission.ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION (Optional).

- Purpose: Used to determine your approximate general area/city (via cell towers or Wi-Fi,

  not precise GPS coordinates) to automatically show the nearest ISPU/AQI environmental

  monitoring readings.

- Processing: This approximate location is resolved locally on your device. If you decline

  this permission, the App remains fully operational, allowing manual city selection.

- Third Parties: The Google Mobile Ads SDK may use approximate location for serving

  regionally relevant advertising and fraud prevention.


B. Local Storage and Preferences

Your saved family watchlist cities, air index scale preference (Indonesian ISPU or US AQI),

and Sensitive Group mode settings are stored strictly locally on your device via Android

SharedPreferences / DataStore. This information is never uploaded to our servers.


C. Push Notifications

- Requested Permission: android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS (Android 13+, Optional).

- Purpose: Delivers timely automated background notifications whenever local air quality

  reaches Unhealthy or Hazardous thresholds.


4. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

To supply authentic atmospheric feeds and maintain free access to our app, we integrate

trusted industry-standard third-party providers:


A. Atmospheric Data Provider (Open-Meteo API)

The App transmits coordinates of the selected area via encrypted HTTPS to Open-Meteo

(https://open-meteo.com/) to retrieve PM2.5, PM10, and Carbon Monoxide (CO) concentration

levels. These requests are anonymous, ephemeral, and unlinked to any individual identity.


B. Monetization Partner (Google Mobile Ads SDK)

The App displays non-intrusive bottom banner ads provided by Google AdMob. The Google

Mobile Ads SDK (com.google.android.gms:play-services-ads) may collect and process device

identifiers (Advertising ID / App Set ID), ad interaction metrics, and diagnostic data

for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention purposes. Read Google's privacy policy at:

C. Consent Management Platform (Google User Messaging Platform / UMP CMP)

For users located in regions with specific privacy regulations (such as the European

Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland under the GDPR), we integrate Google's

certified UMP CMP to provide full transparency and control over ad personalization.

You may review or revoke your consent preferences at any time through the in-app

Settings menu.


5. DATA SECURITY

All network communications between the App and external third-party APIs (Open-Meteo

and Google Mobile Ads) are strictly encrypted in transit using industry-standard

HTTPS / Transport Layer Security (TLS).


6. DATA DELETION AND USER RIGHTS

Because the App does not maintain user accounts or retain personal data on developer

servers, there are no remote cloud records to purge. You retain complete control over

your local data:

- Clear cached air data and saved locations via Settings -> "Reset Data Cache & Saved Cities".

- Instantly wipe all local data by clearing application storage in Android Settings

  or uninstalling the App from your device.


7. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

The App is intended for general audiences (ages 13 and older) and families. It is not

directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information

from children.


8. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may periodically update this Privacy Policy to reflect regulatory adjustments or

app feature updates. Any revisions will be published on this page with an updated

effective date.
